I have enjoyed working
as an illustrator for the gift industry for over 12 years.
The difference between fine art and illustration is that
the illustration is made to appeal to a wide range of
people. It's somewhat like a commission in that the subject
is mostly determined by the consumer by way of trends.
The way I approach a painting is basically the same for
fine art or illustration. |

Illustration has provided the
opportunity to paint a wide variety of subjects including wildlife,
lighthouses, street scenes, and Santa Claus. |
